"The Kid With The Golden Arms” is the first project from Saïd, formerly known as Ayatollah Jaxx in over a decade. Inspired by the loss of his mother, The Kid With The Golden Arms is a semi-autobiographical highlight reel of Saïd's life. Thematically curated around victims of public education, community violence, mass-incarceration and politically imposed adversity, The Kid With The Golden Arms is also a personal reflection of Saïd's time in the street then transitioning to the music industry, to an educator and activist. The album is cinematically produced and infused with poetically schemed lyricism, soulful vocal accompaniment and powerful political statements.
